RESCUE AND ENGINE RESPOND TO A SUBJECT PINNED UNDER A VEHICLE

At 12:31 the Rescue and Engine were alerted for a subject pinned under a vehicle . Rescue 59 and the Engine went en-route and was advised that the caller was pinned by the car door after the vehicle had rolled backwards. Chief 59-1 ( Stiffler ) arrived to find 1 subject pinned on the ground on the passenger side of the vehicle under the door. Rescue was advised to pull the spreader and lift the door just enough to get the women's leg out .  After a short investigation by the Southern Regional Police it appears the women was helping here disabled son out of the vehicle and into a wheel chair when the vehicle rolled backwards trapping her leg between the wheel chair and the door of the vehicle.  Units cleared the scene shortly after .  Patient was transported by emergency services to the local trauma center with non life threatening injuries.
